Thanks all.
Next up:
Getting some furniture tomorrow...just the basics like AFG2, some rail panels. Not sure yet about which rail panels; there is a local dealer who has over 10k items in their warehouse and every magpul item too.

I have also ordered a Haley Strategic Rifle Bag from an importer, so that will still take weeks to get here.

As for scope and mount - I am going for Leupold.
Not sure which one tho:

Leupold VX6 1-6x24 Multigun CDS
or
VX-R 1-4x24 Patrol

Any suggestions on the two from experienced shooters here would be greatly appreciated!

EDIT: I want to shoot up to 300feet...but also close range.

Awesome rifle.

Side note, always wanted to visit Switzerland, very envious. Need to check out the Matterhorn

Leupold's VX6 1-6 Multigun would be my choice between those two. It's gonna cost more, but 50% more power too. Even at the 300ft you mention, 6x will be greatly appreciated. I ran my M4 with 4x for years, but really like the 8x glass she has now...

Oh, here's a Leupold promo Midway's running thru June. You may see some deals with NRA's annual meet next month.

Leupold Deal Days

My SIG516 is a 10" SBR, so this isn't an option for me, but if you'd like to lighten your load-out, these look very trick!!

I use the Leupold Mark AR Mod1 on my 516 & 716. This is a 1.5 by 4x scope. The scopes you mentioned are both good quality.

Hi All,

So the Leupold VX6 1-6 is no longer an option. Whilst the prices and rebates in the US would make it affordable, it costs around 1500 USD in Switzerland.

So I have now narrowed it down to either one of these:

https://www.optics-trade.eu/en/leupo...1-25-4x20.html

https://www.optics-trade.eu/en/stein...er-1-4x24.html

Would someone please care to give me their advice on which scope I should buy? Based on tech specs and in consideration to me wanting to shoot out up to 300yd as well as close range, IPSC.

Thank you

As is usually the case, a few Eu more buys a better scope. Interesting that this particular Steiner is made, but apparent not sold in the US. The Leupold looked to be a good 1-4 power scope. Just doesn't have the field of view & eye pupil at full power and object lens the Steiner has.

4x power is good, and 10x power is better!! These Vortex PST scopes have performed well for a number of years. In this price range, suggest that you consider this option too.
