looks like there are several M400 models to choose from. trying to decide which to buy. I am not a hunter and would just be shooting at an outside range. Probably not shooting any distances over 200 yards. If I want a scope on the M400 will the front sight be interfering with scope sight line? or is the front sight removable? What is Magpul? Is that a cheaper brand 30 round magazine? Is Sig one of the better AR style rifles out or should I look at other brands also. thanks
Gonna have to get to Riley's...sounds like a neat place then to the pro store..
Has anyone been up to Kittery Trading Post.. Kind of touristy, but they used to have decent prices on Ammo. How about across the border in Vermont? Used to be tons of ammo in Brattleboro in some of the "general stores"
Riley's is sort of an old fashioned gun shop Sorta like stepping back in time into the 70s heh. Lot of old timers behind the counters. Decent selection of long rifles and handguns and a lot of AR Magpul and other AR accessories
Shooters Outpost just up the road is the place to go if you want 5.11 stuff. They have a HUGE section of it. They only opened in November so they are still sorting things out but it is a nice place to go. Guns are up on 2nd floor
I bought my 522 at Kittery a couple of nights ago. They have rearranged the place since I was in there years ago. I can tell you that the ammo was really depleted and I mean like shelves bare. I was a little surprised
The Sig shop is near the Epping Walmart I think I was told. Heck even my wife is excited to be going there lol
squid, an officer and a gentleman.. nice.. I had a few friends that went the O gang route and stayed for over 20.. I wish sometime I had done 20 vice just 8.5.
Riley was sold out a few weeks ago.. I tried to get some 223 bullets for reloading and they just kind of laughed. I got a 1000 on order at midway with a deliver date of march....
At SIg you have to be standing there and be lucky to have something show up. I ended up with the Pine Hunter and swat that way. I really wanted the FDE or the black hunter but was happy to grab what I could. I have been there 4 times in the last 3 weeks. My wife doesnt want me to buy anymore..
KTP has a TON of stuff and is fun to go to but I have never seen any bargains.. It is a lot like a small Cabelas.
Just left Sig Shop....all I can say is wow. What a nice place!! I dropped 100 bucks in 10 minutes lol. Got 3 522 mags and also 2 30 round Pmags 5.56 and a bottle of Frog Lube
The wall is covered with all their handguns and rifles in every flavor they carry.
The did have 716s in stock. 2 grand. I asked about enhanced m400s and he said they are getting a steady flow in of them I really want one in the FDE scheme. Around 1200. He gave me his card and said to send him an email and he would let me know when in. That is pretty awesome.
I think I may be converting over to Sig for handguns as well. Can't beat having them so close
Sig handguns are very good. I've shot a number of other manufacturers pistols and i've not found one yet that is as good (to me) and accurate as the Sig. The P229 is excellent as are the X-five Mastershop varieties. You will not find better trigger anywhere.
Being from Mass definitely is a disadvantage when looking for online ammo and any magazine other than ten rounds.... May have to move across the border or find a place that doesn't want to see I'd for a cash sale. Even tried to find magazine rebuild kits, but they're impossible to find too. Will definitely plan a trip to the sig store though. Sorry that KTP is not like the old days...
Yeah spent 20 in....
Pretty handy on the first of the month..
Daughter following in footsteps... She is a CPO in the spec war community.. She's been deployed so many times I can't count anymore...the navy sure changed since I was in, that's fer sure. Finally coming back to the states this spring, will still be spec war, but in a special boat team rather than with her SEAL team. She can't be an operator, but she pretty much does all the crazy stuff when they deploy. She's also a SIG fan and has a customized 226 that she takes with her.
Thinking about putting an extended barrel on my 220 and 226 can get one extended and ported for about 250-300.
tango I told you that place was like a candy store...WHere in NH do you live? If you dont want to say in open forum that is cool. I am hlaf way between Keene and Nashua.
Squid, you daughter is a CPO in Spec war.. that is beyond cool. Amazing how the service has changed. Did you see they just had three female officers qualify for their dolphins??
That could not have been easy.. Bubble heads are a bunch of pricks.. haha.
Also same question to youout of curiosity where do you live?
Tango, I bought two of those cases, the short one holds my 556 and the 522 and I got the long one for the hunter, te long one is a single. they are sweet indeed.
