The big price drop will happen when (if) the proposed legislation fails in Congress. I don't anticipate a lot of downward price movement until then.

Just insane. I'm glad I built my own AR last year. I have four 30 rd magazines and was just contemplating buying ten 30 rnd Pmags for $100 shipped when my car shit the bed. While I was dealing with that all this craziness started and now I'd be lucky to get 4 mags for that $100.

I do have five 15 rnd mags for my Sig SP2022 and that's a good thing.

Times, they are a changin'.

Paid $2200 for a 516 last week which I thought wasn't bad considering all that's been going on. About 500 over msrp. Now all I need are some mags.

It's about supply and demand. The demand is high because of the uncertainty of the future gun laws. The supply is a lot lower than the demand, so the price goes up. I was at my LGS, and a salesman walked out of the back storeroom and raised his hands while holding an AR... He shouts, "Who wants this?", and a guy raised his hands, and the salesman said, "it's yours... step over here to do the paper work"... Amazing!... No price was ever mentioned. The guy just raised his hands.
About a year ago, I bought a stripped lower for $99.00. I saw at another LGS, they were taking orders for stripped lowers going for $239.00... It's all about supply and demand.

Just remember CTD when the BS is over, will never use them again, there are a lot of merchants who have decided not to raise prices and have continued to sell the inventory(what little is left) at normal prices.Bought some Galil/Golani mags from Carolina's Shooters Supply, hard ones to find (poly mag) and I bought for 15.00 a piece.Especially here with an item that is on the unicorn list he could have easily gouged the hell out of me and didnt.Some of them have some integrity and some are just plain ole GREEDY.Soon we'll see how much steam King Ovomit has,IMO I think his E.A. all 23 of them are going to be flushed down the crapper.

I overpaid probably about 6 or700 bucks between the 2 AR's I've purchased in the last 2 months. The Windham ran 1049 and the Sig M400 Enhanced was 1499. I'm ok with it though not knowing which way the political winds are going to blow.

If the prices do bottom out in the next few months I think you will see demand outstripping supply again as folks will be buying them up as insurance against the next scare to confiscate etc I know I will be adding if and when the prices do come down

Sig Academy Pro Shop is selling the FDE M400 for about 1200ish (when they have them)

716's were going for 2100 I think...some guy bought 2 while was there
