Congrats! Break in? Just shoot the crap out of it and have fun .Counting clicks? Iron sights? Dude...get yourself some decent glass. You've got a really nice rifle that can reach out and touch someone so lay down some green on a scope, or at least a red dot. I didn't even bother with the iron sights. Fav lube? I just use Hoppe's #9 bore cleaner for the bore/chamber and BCG, then Hoppe's #9 lubricating oil in the bore and run patches til it comes out dry. Lubricating oil on the bolt lubrication points and Hoppe's #9 Gun Grease on the bolt carrier rails, rear bearing surface, bearing surface and bolt lugs on the bolt itself. My 716 likes it fine so far. Took it out for the first time last Saturday and put 100 rounds through her without a single hiccup. I've used Hoppe's on all my guns since I was 15 and never had a problem. Have fun! |

i agree witht he get some nice glass, but you have to use iron sites incase your scope fails you. so its all sighted in, 50 rounds fired, zero issues... happy clean and ready for some more. but man she'll rbuise you up!! lol |
