I have a 556 Patrol. The rifle is awesome in all respects except the grip is too large. I cannot actuate the safety with my thumb without adjusting my grip. I can do this without a problem on an AR15 type grip. If you compare the two you'll see how much wider (front to back not side to side) the 556 grip is. Does anyone know of a replacement grip manufacturer?

Maticore arms has a nice grip designed for the sig 556 series. No modding ar grips needed
