I see you are a Ranger. I can't imagine you applied a head in the sand mentality against your opponents in combat and survived! I consider the gun grabbers to be my opponents, every last one of them. With the widespread complacency I see openly displayed on this forum of gun owners, I will take every opportunity to expose the sleight of hand methods used by the gun grabbers to distract the sheeple from the actual fight.

You call it tomato, I call it potato, or some such silliness said by a former VP candidate during a campaign debate.

obama and the rest of them are still going to go after banning 15+ rnd mags and background check on all sales and transfers -- private and family.
That'll be some more fees/taxes and help them build a national registry of guns.

FOX reported today that New York state is setting up a hot line to report illegal guns for a $500 reward. This will be based on NY's new law -- no 7+ rnd mags and must register all clip fed firearms and other **** like that.
Sound familiar ???????????????? === like Hilter getting the kids to turn in their parents.

I'm a democrat. Well, independent, but I lean democrat. I had no idea I was hanging out with communists, marxists and that I was dedicated to destroying America. Maybe I'm a "manchurian candidate"? Yeah, that's the ticket!

Guess I should start referring to all my shooting buddies as "comrade".

I think the real goal all along was to aim unrealistically high and take what they can get that seems like a lesser compromise.

The real prize they seem to be after is universal background checks. They would eliminate all FTF sales between private individuals and would require a minimum 3-day waiting period for the purchase of all firearms.

That is the real enemy right now. Feinstein's AWB was never a realistic possibility. Everyone knew that.

Don't take your eyes off all the balls the government has to work with.
We have many levels of government in our country.
Several states have passed very very restrictive gun laws - NY, Colorado, Maryland and more to follow.
Watch them and blow the whistle on them when they start in your State!
These anti-2nd amendment groups and elected officials are zealots!
And those against the 2nd probably don't like the whole Constitiution and the values that made our Country GREAT!

So now we are at 8% of our state voting on stronger gun law which include bans on Sporting Semi Auto Weapon rifles and high capacity mags. I am including the most recent, Conneticut in that. So no the Steam has not be lost. Our rights are still being attacked. Don't stop doing your part, we are in a very dangerous place right now in this fight.

Remember the line from the Wizard of OZ, "Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain!" Everything you see is theater, deals are cut quietly in the back rooms and slowly released. Both parties want the same thing, power. That requires control of the masses, first by trickery and manipulation then, finally, by force.

Sadly the anti's have it partially figured out. What they cannot get on the national level they will attempt and in many cases get on the state and local levels. Divide and conquer. The NRA does not have the resources to fight in all 50 states and in over 5500 local jurisdictions.

Is the phrase "all politics is local" a tolling bell of the future and how the antis are going to come after us???

Here in OK we are good...for now but what does the future hold?

Note the wording in the original article:

"After a meeting with Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) on Monday, a frustrated Feinstein said she learned that the bill she sponsored — which bans 157 different models of assault weapons and high-capacity ammunition magazines — wouldn’t be part of a Democratic gun bill to be offered on the Senate floor. Instead, it can be offered as an amendment. But its exclusion from the package makes what was already an uphill battle an almost certain defeat."

Basically they're saying it won't be a bill that has to stand on its own! They're going to add it as an 'ammendment' to something else, probably totally unrelated. Refer to the healthcare bill that got passed during the first term and all of the stupidity that rode along with it as amendments. I personally see this as a much more dangerous route and we'll need to be extra vigilant. Rather than the full frontal assault, we need to start watching our flanks.

Long long battle ahead, with the new dawning of the Liberals, we have better get all of our cards out and really give them hell if we want to come out w/our constitution intact, otherwise the psychological play on words and the heart string emotional game that the left uses will be able to hand out Big Gulps of their kool-aid and bring their game to the lemmings who will run with it and succeed of getting their agenda on board.

I say buy what you can afford and be prepared to become an outlaw if and when gun registration becomes a reality.I will stash my firearms, and will not pull out my tools until the ****. Not being able to use them recreationally ever again after refusing to register will suck, but if thats what I must do to keep em ,then so be it.....I will not hand them in or register my firearms-NEVER!!! MOLON LABE!
