"Hate to be pessimistic, but don't expect it. Too many queers, perverts, drug addicts, welfare bums, democrats - but then I am being redundant.

These people keep the likes of Fienstein, Reed, Obama and many other gun ban people in office, ALL DEMOCRAT "

Exactly.

Always pay attention to what the other hand is doing. To even think that we have won is foolish. But by demanding something so big and then caving, is nothing short of great theater. In the same article, look at what they are settling for with so much disappointment. If they had gone with those things first, it would have been impossible from the outset, now it seems so waterd down. The art of negotiations in politics. No matter what, it will end up being more regulations limiting the law abiding, while criminals and nuts continue unabated. Two of the biggest lies, It's for the children and We have to do something. When you hear anything like that, get ready.

Colorado Democrats are having an "Ooops" moment due to the public outcry over the laws they've been passing that are contrary to the values of the "People". One County Sheriff has been quite clear letting them know he will not enforce they're new gun laws and has directed his Deputies to not enforce them either. There's hope for America yet!

Unfortunately the law will still be there. It will only be a matter of time before its enforcement is matter of fact. The greater Dem/Soc party will look at any single legislative member loss as collateral damage and celebrate the advancement of the cause.

I am a 'rare' native Nevadian; unfortunately so is Harry Reid. Nevada is usally a pretty conservative state but with the tremendious influx of e-californians it has become somewhat a suburb of So. California; and not in a good way. I have written to Mr. Reid on the whole gun control issue and at least gotten a response stating that he is: on the surface; some-what pro-gun and a gun owner.... Problem is, is that he is such a tow the party line Democrat, that we don't have a whole lot of choice as Republicans or Conservatives with him in office. And it has been almost impossible to get him out of office due to his tenure there.

When you guys had a chance to oust him you nominated that lunatic woman... can't remember her name, Angle or something. Not you personally, but the Repub party.

That's the problem, the Dems are in power in a lot of places because the Repubs are hardly a better option on most issues.

Don't get lulled into complacency by these false claims. They will use any means available. In this case, Child Services were involved, with the threat of removing the child if warrantless search was not permitted!

This battle for gun rights is far from done! Don't think for a minute the communists will stop until ALL our firearms are relinquished!

There gonna drop it for now, But Beware. There convinced that they are gonna win back the house in 2014 and then have the power to pass anything they want. Then there will be 2 more years to try and destroy the rest of the GOP. He wants the chance to form the rest of his citizen defense league. Home land security buying 1.6 billion rounds of ammo.. LOL.. HLS my ***.

Yeah, why the hell did Bush create that?!

I would not hold my breath waiting on this to happen anytime soon. The "D's" primary goal is to retake the House in the midterms and expand their Senate majority. They will lie a bit low but they have and agenda, and a plan!

Things are starting to ease....Midway has items back in stock.... Gunbroker seems to have eased......I have picked up some mags relatively quickly(holding off on ammo right now)....supply is catching up to demand.......and the folks that went crazy in Dec/Jan have CC bills to pay!!

Watch for the next shoe to fall...

I fear that the "Overton Window" is in play here.

The Overton window is a political theory that describes as a narrow "window" the range of ideas that the public will find acceptable, and that states that the political viability of an idea is defined primarily by this rather than by politicians' individual preferences. It is named for its originator, Joseph P. Overton, a former vice president of the Mackinac Center for Public Policy. At any given moment, the “window” includes a range of policies considered politically acceptable in the current climate of public opinion, which a politician can recommend without being considered too extreme to gain or keep public office.

Overton assigned a spectrum of “more free” and “less free”, with regard to government intervention, oriented vertically on an axis. When the window moves or expands along this axis, an idea at a given location may become more or less politically acceptable as the window moves relative to it.
To move the window towards "less free" , you wait for an event that is traumatic enough that the public is willing to give up some freedom in exchange for feeling safe. Then you make deliberately overreaching proposals that you know will not be acceptable. When those get shot down, you have a fallback position that seems "reasonable" when compared to the extreme proposals that were rejected. Previously they would have been outside the window, but between the traumatic event, and your extreme proposals, you have moved the window far enough that they are now in the window.

Their fallback position is Universal Background Checks, commonly called "closing the gunshow loophole" The only way to enforce Universal Background Checks is though a gun registry. UBC will then necessarily lead to gun registration (and eventual confiscation) just like Obamacare will necessarily lead to a single payer system.

Politics 101...
9/11 being the best example... Newtown being the next best. The exploitation of both disgusts me, and in the end show me that the powers that be, whether the jack *** or the elephant, are really in cahoots to seize the power from the people, which WAS contrary to the American idea at one time...

Now if you resist you're an extremist.
