Took a new shooter out

Took my stepdaughter (26) out to a friends house for some range time, first time she has shot a 1911, and its a Sig. I seen her constantly chipping at the same hole on her right target, so I asked her to do the left target and take her time. not a bad 8 round group at all!
She blazed through nearly 300 rounds that day, 200 on the 1911, 100 on the P365. Now she's hooked, wants a CWP and a 1911!

Sig XO 1911 with Sig Romeo red dot at 30 yards.. I'll let the pic speak for her

edit: range was ten yards

Excellent! New shooter hooked on a Sig 1911. Got to love it.

I have had my eye on the XO for a while. Now you have rekindled that fire!

Great to hear. I introduced one of my daughters to shooting pistols in her early 20s. She now shoots both at the range and enjoys sporting clays. This led to her husband’s interest as well as a group of their closest friends. That group asked if I would join them for a day long NRA sponsored Concealed Carry class. I did. I was a nice refresher. I’m sure everyone learned a lot. I now have an expanded group to enjoy shooting sports with. The results are worth the effort. Keep it going!

Great! We all need to take new shooters out and work with them. Many people would enjoy the different shooting activities if they are introduced to it. Added outcome is that every new shooter is a potential vote for the preservation of the US Constitution and namely the 2A.

good for you, introduce firearms when they're young, if you can.
