it seems too coordinated like they are all working together with their competition , they probably have a stash
Absolutely.

For example: for from $79-$100 a case of 7.62 x 39, more than before, I can locate as much ammunition as I could possibly want online.

Same goes for most any caliber, handgun, or rifle, except the price spread is even greater.

At this point even the cheap steel cased stuff should not be ignored. In a real emergency quantity is often much more important than quality.

Over the past five years I have sold/traded all my 9mm and .223/5.56 firearms that could not reliably cycle steel cased ammo.

....what’s the Ammo situation in your state?[/QUOTE]

I've always kept about a 1k of what I've shot over the years 9mm and .40 S&W
and replenished as needed but in March weekend before the world went nutz stepped in to the AR market and stocked up on .223 and 5.56 since AR shoots both. Added another 500 rounds of 12 gauge as well but now as I stop in at LGS or Cabelas, Bass Pro, etc.... ammo shelves are empty weekly. Glad I got the 500 rounds of 9mm this morning from Federal after seeing post here was in stock.

9mm is never in stock now and I mean never!!

I reload, so I don't really worry about these shortages. But I was in our local Bass Pro yesterday and looked at the 9mm shelves as I walked by. Empty. Didn't stop to look how the .223 supply was, but I assume it was the same. Hope folks are actually going shooting with it and not just piling it in a corner.
