My significant other has run 1000's upon 1000's of rounds of steel case, not lacquered case ammo through chrome lined AR-15 & AR-10 Bbls for years w/o any issues.
I have an EFK Fire Dragon(junk) conversion 9x19 Bbl for my beater P226 357/40 slide that has had nothing but 1000's & 1000's of rounds of Wolf PolyFormance steel 115gr ammo through it to date.
She will turn that Bbl to a straw color(heat),if I am able to keep magazines loaded....fast enough.

I tried some in a P238 years ago. That was the only ammo that would not work in that gun. I gave it to a friend that had a Walter PPK380 and it worked fine. I used some in my old AR and it worked fine.

I have never chosen to shoot steel case ammo in any of my pistols or rifles, but I have also never seen a Sig Sauer released comment/recommendation regarding cartridge case material.
Pertaining to Sig Sauer firearms, the only mention of cartridge case material I have seen is in a pistol owners manual, where there is a warning about "hot brass" being ejected from the pistol.
From SIG website:
"What kind of ammo can I shoot from my SIG SAUER pistol?
SIG SAUER recommends the use of only newly manufactured ammunition meeting SAAMI (www.saami.org) and/ or NATO specifications."

I have run a couple thousand rounds of Wolf and other steel ammo through my P226, P229, and SP2022 with no problems at all. Mostly used as my winter ammo, so not tempted to try and find my brass in the snow like I do with my brass ammo.

I have run steel cased ammo through my PTR since the cases were ejected into the next county. The brass cases get beat to shyte but they get reloaded but not more than once or twice if I can find them. So in circumstances where it is difficult to 'find' the flingings from the chamber, I prefer to use the steel cased and know that I need to clean my guns when done for the day.
