Anyone have experience with this or similar trigger guard only holsters for IWB? It gets amazing reviews on Amazon, and is incredibly minimalistic. Saw a couple of mentions in other Sigtalk threads but not much detail. This would be for a P365.

I’m curious if anyone perceives (or know of) any additional risk in this style vs. a traditional full Kydex?

Itís a great minimalist holder that I use the majority of the time. You just always need to remember to holster it before you wear it so dry firing is a pia but needed. Great retention and you can set it to what you prefer. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...8bf08c1c88.jpg

I don't understand the "dry firing is a PIA but needed."
How can you dry fire if a round is in the chamber?....or are you inferring you use the holster without a round in the chamber?

Training with no live ammo in the clip just dummy rounds. Just making sure my draw is good and sight alignment

that's a great holster I've had a few, I believe Raven is the company that invented that style of holster. it works better AIWB than other positions. I would recommend the spring clip, the metal one, or the pull the dot loop if you're going to wear one. . also you're going to want a stiffer belt that can make small adjustments.

Great for a live pistol placeholder under a desk or on a shelf/cabinet, but thumbs down on this for wear on the body. Same reason I am not a fan of "Yaqui Slides" - Jeff Cooper notwithstanding: You would be better served with a regular holster that covers the gun to just below the muzzle; keeping the gun in the holster when the muzzle presses into chairs, upholstery, car seats, etc. when you sit down, as well as keeping dirt & lint out of the mechanism/barrel, and protecting the pistol from scratches & dings when you run into things. YMMV.

I just got this for my P365XL and it's a nice little holster just like I wanted. I don't care for the plastic clip, I wish it had a metal one with little teeth and I did not see an option for a metal clip but I'm sure it's not hard to switch out.

I keep looking at these for a minimalist holster choice. When I finally decide to try one , Iíd spring for the claw option.
