You're off to a good start, the basic pistol looks solid, the accessories are easy to change. I'll have to say the grips are 'too different' for me, though...

They are. But they were inexpensive. They were a good buy. And that was the point of this thing. And the whole look is growing on me, Haha

Well, I ended up going whole hog on the thing.

Cerakote frame is copper. Unfortunately looks orange in photo. Slide is just blasted. Barrel and controls all done black. Did the tru glo sights. And proper grip panels.

So, project completed I guess.

I love it! I just picked up a 229 LEO trade in that I want to do a complete re-do on. It's a 2008 and I'm just starting out to research what I want to do. Your thread is a great start.
