On emailing Beretta USA customer service, I’m reminded of Sigs customer service.
CLUELESS!!!
I emailed Beretta USA about the trigger overtravel stop on the 92 XP pistol.
Like others, the adjustment screw won’t move. It just breaks allen wrenches or bends them.
Here’s Beretta USA answer.
The 92 XP da/sa models include the overtravel screw. The SAO models include a second screw for pretravel.
Overtravel screw.
I’m thinking Beretta USA and Sig USA share the same customer service reps.
Edit: Not being able to work today due to fire evacuation at work, I was able to sit on hold to actually talk to someone familiar with their product. We discussed the issue which he hasn’t run into before. He said that normally the calls are on the missing top screw which we both know are for the future SAO models pretravel adjustment. He stated that these were supposed to be shipped with us being able to adjust the screw to our liking, then loctite once we set it to our preference. Just like the manual says. So now I just need to decide if I want to send mine in. She works great as is, there is however around 2 mm of overtravel that can be adjusted out. Tough decision as I don’t want to give her up. I still fondle her everyday.
Is there a Tom that works for Sig customer service?
