How many of you carry this and what holsters do you use?

I do!

I bought the kydex holster from Sig because I didn't feel like waiting 7-10 weeks for Black Point Tactical to make one. I plan on ordering one from them in the near future though:

Wearing this thing on the hip in a car blows. Appendix carry or never sit down.

Don't know of any shoulder rigs for these pigs yet. Also I bought and intend on installing the #8 front tritium/fiber optic site soon. It's sitting in the box waiting for me to hammer the old one out and true it up at the range.

I use a MASC vertical carry shoulder rig at the range.
We shoot on public land, so when you go downrange to service targets, you carry.
You never know who's going to roll in and that shoulder rig carries a full size comfortably.
And it's comfortable when picking up brass.

I use the same Comp Tac holster with a G-Code RTI hanger attached and a G-Code RTI belt slide. I use these with all of my pistols. It allows me to change from one to the other without having to take the holster off the belt and put a different holster on. Just unclip. Great for competition or classes where you want to use more than one gun.

Got my Black Point Tactical IWB holster and took it for a quick outting. I like it. It's much more comfortable than the hip rig. It's also flimsy, but not super critical since it's concealed (If someone is going to go for my gun my hands are right there). The hip holster would come off RIGHT NOW if someone were to yank on it.

There are some adjustments to be made for it to be more comfortable, but overall it's much better than the hip holster right out of the box. I'm actually going to EDC this exclusively for a while. 17 rounds + an additional mag (or 21x2) is quite a bit of fire power to have concealed.

Printing? Yes it prints. The magwell obviously prints. Even with the claw. You're going to have to deal with that however you want. Personally I don't care about printing.

The extra mag needs to be inserted in the right direction or it binds up. Practice your reloads.

I bought a Cytac P320 kydex holster ($25) which said it will fit the X5. However, I had to modify it for the X5 Legion. The barrel length and sight height is different, it would NOT fit until I cut the end on a chop saw and used a Dremel tool to get enough clearance for the front sight. It works well enough as a gun bucket for IDPA but would not use it as a EDC. I have a P220 SAS in .45 for that ;-)

The size of the Legion is just too large for me to consider EDC and I still love the stopping power of my P220 .45 - maybe I am old school but love both weapons (one for the range one for EDC) the finish on my 2006 two tone is still looking good.

Take care, be safe

At some point I hope to get the parts together to make an xcarry using the legion FCA as my EDC. In MA, its CC, and yeah this beast prints.

Another update (for anyone who cares)

I've been carrying the Legion daily for a while now and I still like it. I've noticed that after 6 hours in a car with it appendix it's uncomfortable. I found that I needed to adjust it every so often so that I didn't develop a pressure ulcer on my pelvis. Adjusting the holster to the highest position helps, but seated for any extended period of time is going to suck. Also depending how long your torso is it may poke your lower ribs.

I decided to buy the Wilson Combat grip to see if the shorter grip would help, and it has. The magwell on the Legion (yeah I know it's removable) is what irritated my ribs and also added leverage to the slide digging into my pelvis. The WC doesn't do that. I like the WC grip but it isn't night and day different from the stock Legion grip. Lighter yes, but form and function is very similar. If I didn't own a Legion and wanted a better grip I'd purchase a WC over a Legion grip and never think twice.

Retention of the holster is nice. I can run and the pistol stays in place. The spare mag has gone flying during a sprint so keep that in mind. You may have to look like an *** clown and hold your belly so your spare mag doesn't eject. Oh and the 21 round mags in the WC print more than that 17 (surprise). If that matters then keep a 17 in the gun and a spare 21 on the belt.

Still rockin the stock dawson sights. Don't really have any wear on the finish from holster/draw practice. It's a good setup and i'd recommend it to anyone who is in the market for something in the niche. Rock it!
