Seems this little rascal is back limited 500 run.

Does anyone have any experience with this pistol?

I own a 229 Legion SAO and love it!

Been wanting to add a .45 Legion to the safe.

Maybe this is the one? ...unsure of the price.

Then there is the matter of actually finding one.

Maybe easier than ammo right now? lol

Please don't reply with the usual "legions are overrated junk" etc etc
This is not a thread to debate the merits of legion vs non-legion
I like them and that is that. :D

Frustrated Sig even sent me an email with this tease.
I have checked in with 3 of my go-to LGS' and no dice. (when I received the notice a couple weeks ago and a couple follow up calls.)
Maybe it was a, we have spare parts let's make a "new" platform type o thing?

I was at the LGS this afternoon and the gun buyer explained to me that it is going to be a while before the P220 Carry to shows up. He was talking with the Sig Rep and learned that the e-mail to Legion members was not supposed to be set out this month. They are coming, it just will be a while and the LGS had no idea how long that might me.

I am not going to let some a**** on GB rake me over for an absurd price. Another user on here (this thread) got one for $1200.
Yes, it is limited, but it aint worth close to 2 large! That said, If it were really worth close to 2 then okay, but if MAP is 1199.99, yeah no. F** price gougers on GB.
Like paying 2 bucks a round for Speer 9MM JHP LE. No way Jose. ;) The price infaltion in this market is just obscene right now. Remember when you could buy FMJ pistol for under 10 cents a round? Those were the days...
Oh another "fun" price gouging story. I was in my LGS last weekend. Used P229 Legion DA/SA, only two mags no case and not in great shape, 1299.00 Nope! lol

Picked mine up on Saturday. LGS in my AO is a stocking dealer and received 5 of the 500 on Friday afternoon and I grabbed the last one around 2pm the following day.

Price was $1,199 so I decided to sell my Gen 4 G21 since it was bringing me no joy.

Was fortunate to get one given how few were produced.

This is my 1st Legion, and I am really liking it . Haven’t had a chance to get her to the range, will need to wait to next weekend.

That pistol is beautiful! Glock for Sig Legion? Yes please. I reckon you had to pay on top of the trade too, but you get my drift. :) I am jealous. Well done!

Hi, new to this forum... but wanted to join a good Sig fan page. I picked up P320 xfive about a year ago and fell i love. Then a month ago picked up a p226 legion SAO and fell in love again.

Now im proud to say that a new member of the family i pick up tomorrow, I got a P220 legion R3. Never thought I'd be so lucky to get a hold of one

So.....1st on Gun Broker this day ended at $3,000 and the next over $3,500.......don't really see that they are worth that. Blast Sig for only making 500. What I would worry about if I paid $3,500 is that Sig might see this interest and put it in the catalog, and price it at $1,250.

I was on a list at a LGS, & got mine Wed, paid $1324.99.(suggested retail). Initial impression, not bad, I will be sending it to Robert Burke for a comp action (2.25#) trigger job, exactly Like he did on my P226 Legion SAO. (amazing). Stock has (for me) too much take up & a tad heavy pull. I've got bad arthritis & the smoother/lighter my triggers are, the better I shoot..
I will say the finish on this one seems better than my early built 226 Legion SAO. I've recently bought a few dbl stacks (CZ TSO, STI Combat Master JW3, STI DVC LTD, Phoenix Redback SAO/optics ready) which are ALL tanks, but have 2# ish triggers. This skinny little thing feels like my P938 SAS after those brutes LOL. It's a keeper fo' sho' !!

If you can get your hands on 1, I'd say GRAB IT.
Thanks for looking

George

what is the difference between the current new model and this ?
That is the full size P220 Legion SAO vice the Carry. The difference is the full size has a 4.4” barrel and the carry has a 3.9” barrel. Everything else is pretty much the same.

The Carry garners more favor for those of us wanting the full size grip with a slightly shorter barrel that rides more comfortably in a holster and has better concealment.

Took mine out today for a little “get to know ya” session.

Since this is my first SIG it took me a bit to figure out the trigger and sight picture as I was shooting a bit high.

Zero malfunctions, grip is solid, action is smooth, and great out of the box accuracy - this is a keeper(y)

Did the stiff magazine springs give you a workout today?
Anyone coming from a 1911 45 acp experience most likely has sore figures on their first day with the P220.
Wow, so true! Shot mine for the first time today about 3 hours ago and my thumb is still hurting.

Two of my three mags need some serious break in, as I could only get 7 into one of them and 5 into the other. The third was fine, though.

Was getting some FTFs with the two really stiff mags, but I was using this weird frangible ammo with them, so I’m not worried about it. All three were fine with the Winchester White Box I was shooting also.

Fantastic shooter, though. Nice grip angle and trigger pull. There was a bit of creep in the trigger when I first took it home, but dryfiring it over the last week improved it a lot. I think I might be more accurate with this than with my 229 SAO.

Anyone know who makes a good AIWB kydex holster for something this size? Seems like a bit of an oddball, so the usual suspects don’t seem to offer one.
