Any idea what my model number means

W365-9-B-MS-DE

As my name suggests it is a new gun. I believed I was buying the more comon 365-9-BXR3-MS. I didn't think to verify model numbers before purchasing. Yes a noob mistake. I have done several searches online and can't seem to find my Version anywhere. Sig's website has no references to this model number. Currently I feel a bit ripped off as the B seems to stand for basic sights(only a guess but I don't seem to have night sights). I didn't think a basic sight version existed as various internet searches returned only the night sights versions. I expect it's some special version my retailer ordered to pump their profit.

Guesses so far

W365-365 is common, but the W is not? May he a reference to the retailer?

9- standard across the board most likely 9mm

B- the basic sights I seem to have ? (Aligns with the spot other sigs refer to the much nicer night sights)

MS- manual safety?

De- Delaware? Or Germany? A Google search turns up multiple possiblities including UK ministry of defense?

My sig seems to be a normal 365 besides the sights. Came with 2 mags and seems to have the standard finish.

Thanks for any help

I googled it.

The DE Stands for De horned. My Guess similar to the SAS

The MS Manual safety

B Basic Night Sights

W most likely a Special edition of sorts
Found a couple of them that started with W365
being mentioned a a specifically named Gun Shop

Checked the 2020 discontinued list and nothing close is listed.

Call SIG customer service on Monday. They’ll be able to decode it for you. And if this doesn’t have night sights and you wanted the XRay sights, send me a DM and I’ll mail you the ones from my P365. I prefer TruGlo TFX Pros, so I have 2 X-ray 3 front sights - one from my P365 and one from my P365XL - and one x-ray 3 rear as the XL rear sight is integral just sitting in a little ziplock bag.

So I don't know if anyone is still interested esp after 2 months, but i thought I would update my post. Sig finally replied 2 weeks after I contacted them.

So this model does it have any special features? Can you give me a full model breakdown. Sportsman's Warehouse didn't have any I already visited them. I also haven't found a matching model anywhere on the internet or your website.
When inquiring about the model and why it was a higher price even though it lacked the night sights sportsman's told me to talk to you about it.
Please give me a full model number breakdown.
Thanks

We do not set final sale prices and I cannot speak to that for your market. These are also unusual times and prices are affected during times of high demand. W sku’s indicate originally produced for a law enforcement agency; many of these go unsold and dealers then sell them on the civilian market. This is why it is not on the internet. Not everything we produce will be on the website.

Thanks for your reply. Any idea what the DE means?

The DE is for Germany, must have been a German law enforcement product.

So most of my/our assumptions were confirmed. Some of you said you were interested what Sig would say.

I asked the store staff(where it was purchased) about the lack of night sights and they said I could do an exchange for a different model, but couldn't give any partial refund or discount on other sights. Thanks to covid they were out and didn't have a clue when new stock would arrive. I was now fully attached to the handgun and had 200 rnds through it. I didn't ask if this would affect the return. At this point I didn't care. I ended up running a very Lightly used non ported SAS upper for my sig from my local range. Turns out someone drunk purchased it one night and didn't like it. For some reason the original owner was trying to get $250 for a now lightly used slide. I held off, but it kept calling to me. The lowest price for the Sas Slide I had seen for new was 249.99 +shipping. Thankfully I was able to hold off. I went in yesterday and the price had dropped to 200$. I may mess around and get other sights for the original slide in the future however currently i am happy with my setup. Thanks to all of you who gave input and guidance. I might update after live practice with it.
