I'm in NJ as well, and was told by my ffl dealer that there was a NJ compliant version. Now I have to look on Sigs sight.

Maybe the manufacturers should take the "AR-15" away and start calling them the "MSR-15". (Modern Sporting Rifle)
And I know the "AR" doesn't stand for Assault Rifle but instead stands for Armalite Rifle, but anti gun libtards think it does.

I wonder if it will be discounted at all from the MSRP? $1,065 is not bad for a good AR, but isn't that approaching the point where a buyer can start looking at a piston-driven design?

Hard to tell; prices seem to be on the rise for decent AR builds even from as little as a year ago. I think demand must be high. I know a small LGS owner who says he can hardly keep 'em on the rack.

I think we are again at the point where if you've got a good black rifle, hold onto it; retail seems to be going up and one certainly would think that would keep trade or resale values high. My Bushy seems to get torn up on m4carbines and on arf, but I've got about 1,000 rounds through it and no complaints.

Piston designs are sort of attractive to me in that the gas impingement designs are incredible little carbon makers. I wonder if the piston-driven models are all they are cracked up to be.

Kenny, I think that horse has done escaped. Not much is going to change the minds of the antis, IMO. To them, an assault rifle is anything that looks vaguely military and modern. Stick a pistol grip or vertical forearm on anything, some goof starts getting his or her knickers in a wad.

Dang, I was wrong ... or right.
Just last night did some pricing on the I-net. Looks like the Colt LEO carbines are going from $1,200 to $1,700.
A gas impingement M4-style AR from LMT starts around $1,300.
Would love a top-end AR, but I'm feeding several other calibers and gauges, too.
My $950 Bushy is starting to look all that much better to me.
Maybe some day I'll have it converted to piston-driven. I think the kit goes for around $400.
Someday ... right now, ammunition still isn't free, and I've guns that need to eat!
