I have great trepidation about any national carry law. There's no way one is going to pass without the anti's tacking on some variety of onerous clauses. National registration, psychological evaluations, mandatory insurance (can you imagine the raging erection that the insurance companies would get at the mere thought of federally required liability insurance for carrying a weapon?), etc.

No thank you.

I'd much rather deal with this at the state level. It's pretty easy to keep tabs on reciprocity and avoid those states that I need to.

I think it could be dangerous to have a national system I know that would lead to registration....

I think in Louisiana you can purchase without a permit but if you want to CCW then you need a license which is just that with no numbers ID'ing your guns

Do you know of an updated list of reciprocity ?

I don't think national recognition would be any more of a problem than 18USC926C/HR218/LEOSA. However, don't expect it to happen as long as the House or Senate are blue and with the wave of gun control coming as a result of recent massacres involving subjects with (illegal) firearms.

The nice thing is a majority of the US at the State level is shall issue CCW.

However, expect major anti-gun States that regularly thumb their nose at LEOSA (such as NY) to also thumb their nose at national recognition. Expect to have to challenge your arrest in Federal court.
