Reportedly, a 1 million dollar fine (900,000 Euro) for Cohen and a 22 month suspended sentence. The other two "co-conspirators" also copped a plea. Per a German article cited in the following linked article, one of the former Eckenforde managers got an 11 month suspended sentence and a 900,000 Euro fine. The other defendant had only been manager at SIG Sauer, Eckenforde for less than a year and a half, and allegedly "played a minor role". He will get an 11 month suspended sentence and a fine of 90,000 Euro. In addition, the three defendants agreed to "confess":

Perhaps this will close that story now and maybe Germany can export again soon? Wishful thinking.

Cohen is not a harden criminal, he'll probably go to a white collar prison where he will play tennis, watch HD tv, eat luxury meals and his cell will look better than my bedroom.

This is just typical Europe extorting huge sums from companies.
They are going after tech the same way. Nothing will change, just huge fines paid to government.

It is a real stretch to say guns sold out of Exeter breaks their laws.
Also Columbian Police may be rough, but they are not the bad guys in Columbia.

Also Germany does big business with Iran while Iran talks openly every day about genocide and war.
Screw em and the horse they rode in on.

It's sad, but the German government has been heavily embedded/infiltrated with arms control kooks, who hate the arms industry and act like they are complicit with every bad act committed with one of their products. They really vilify the industry, and act like selling arms to a "conflict zone" is akin to a war crime.

What is wrong with selling arms to the good guys (or the least bad guys) in a conflict zone?

The German government ends up helping the bad actors every time they apply these laws. Now their companies can only sell to designated "green" countries (NATO or equivalent membership, and how the countries rate on a couple of think tank indexes). A good way to asphyxiate their arms industry, and still not help those suffering in "conflict zones".

A company that makes militarily relevant firearms is well advised to be headquartered outside of Germany. I guess their CEO's should also not travel to the "old country", either, lest they be nailed with some drummed up charges. HK has been getting kicked around for some time now. What a shame.

Walther as well. They were charged about when sig was.

Europe has low employment because of their governments. That and people that don’t want to work.
