Swiss P210-2 holster question

I wonder if there is any ex-Swiss Officer on this forum?
Just got a P201-2 that came (unexpected!) factory refurbished, with a new barrel and magazine and in a very little used leather holster. The holster has a shoulder belt that has a kind of "loop" in the middle that does NOT serve to adjust its length (this is done at the both ends). Only some who was trained in the Swiss Army would know what was the intention of this and also why the belt has a pivoting point there. Year stamped on the holster in 1968.

Is that a screw holding the two together? If it is, are there holes on the one strap? If so, I think the purpose is to do initial adjustment based on the soldiers size and make minute adjustments via the ends.

No, it is a rivet. Lose enough to allow the strap to be rotated 90 degrees there and basically overlap the right side over the left side.
The holster also has belt loops on the back. So, the strap may be removed. It may be possible it was folded somehow, but I could not find any info. I will make additional pictures and post.
