Who would be interested?

Recently went back to carrying my P938 after carrying the G43 for a while. Just prefer the feel and quality of the Sig. Anyway while cleaning it last night, I thought how awesome would it be if Sig released an all stainless P938. Yes it would be a bit heavier, but I'd be a buyer.

The 2015 Catalog has a P938 HD that was a solid stainless P938 with a Nickel PVD finish. But I don't think it was ever released.

I carry one front pocket.
I would update if one was available although no real reason why.

Strange that the 238 had a stainless, but not the 938. Milder recoil far as I'm concerned.

The 238 HD is available at my LGS. Great looking gun but I can't justify adding another 238 to my Nitro, Tuxedo, SAS and Equinox.

The specs for the stainless frame P938 have been in the owners manual since at least mid-2014. That's when I got my first 938…and I've been lusting for one ever since. I've asked SIG so many times about it's release that I quit counting. Last time I asked the rep said something about running afoul of the CA certification process and it was being held up.

I really want mine in full Nitron. Even have a name picked out for it, but I'm too shy to say what it is.

SIG likes to promise things and then deliver muuuuuuuuch later...and sometimes never.

Then again, they occasionally rush things to market before enough testing has been conducted.

I'd be in for an all stainless 938 in a heartbeat - and I don't NEED one, much. But with my toy, tool and gun purchase formula, that's doesn't much matter.

Want X Need = Buy

As to your all Nitron SS wished for version . . . I'm guessing you wouldn't be naming is after our 44th president, would you?

Not sure how the "Calif certification" for the p938 would effect what Sig does in the rest if the country. The p938 has never been in the "Calif Handgun Roster". A couple of the models of the p238 are grandfathered into the list. A civilian has not been able to buy a new p938 in Calif since 1-1-2015 which was when Calif outlawed the use of the "single shot exemption." I purchased my new p938 Equinox in Nov 2014 prior to the revision in the state law.

I said I was shy, not that I was fearful of the PC Police.

Yea, sometimes SIG make even less sense than the state of CA.

Wouldn't that P938 HD, then, more properly be named, "Obanger"?

SIG, less sense than CA??? I don't want to smoke what you been tokin'! Only thing makin' less sense than CA is DC and maybe NJ - though I guess it's close. I better hush as this isn't madhouse

Interesting to note that used prices of existing non-list guns are, in many cases, going for a chunk of change more than when new.

I would definitely be a buyer of the stainless model. Wouldn't want the nickel plated as I'd carry in a kydex holster. Plain Jane stainless slide and frame sounds good to me.

Actually the "strange Calif Gun laws" make perfect sense if you accept the fact that Calif just wants to outlaw the sale of ALL handguns one model at a time. What the Calif Safe Handgun Roster does is systamatically outlaw the sale of any model handgun that they don't allow to be in the list. They just don't add any new models and take every opportunity to delete any model they can every year when the mandatory "re-test" is required. The Calif Roster is nothing more than a way to circumvent the second ammendment.

Count me in for an all stainless 938. Maybe two!
