New M18

I picked up this New Sig M18 today for $599. Great deal right! In these times everything is sold out everywhere or the price is Jacked Way up. This M18 came with only one 17 round magazine. The two 21 round mags were not in stock when the pistol shipped? Pistol came with a code for Sig.com I entered the code. The 21 round mags were in stock and shipped out to me at no cost. Cool...
The 124 grain ammo was $13.50 a box. Only selling to range customers or if you buy a gun. Sad but today thatís a good deal on ammo. No bulk sales for now.
But Wait!

For my trouble, Sig sent me another code for 25% off at the Sig store🤗

Sig Rocks! Nice to still find a good deal out there.

I understood the Army got the M17, the Marines opted for the M18.
I'm sure the Marines go ape seeing U.S. Army on their guns.

US Army Band

I was wondering if that US Army band was functional or decorative?
Iím also thinking about putting a Wilson Combat Carry Grip module on it.

Actually the Army has both configurations. My Battalion even has both pistols.

Depending on their store restrictions, that new 25% off can go far with some of their kits!

The Black Grip band with yellow Army text. See pic above.
The band is pretty thick. I’m wondering if it serves an actual purpose for grip or is just advertising?

They call it a "presentation band" for a reason. Me, I used it to hold my slide to my grip module when the FCU was in something else.
