Wife Got Her Own 226

So I been promising wife next 226 we find good deal on will be hers. Scored one this morning but it fell thru. Called her and told her, she wasnt happy. Called a friend who is an FFL and gunsmith but doesnt really buy and sell much. More into trading but loves Sigs. Anyways she explains her dilemma ask if anything to be had. He likes her so he says let me go see ( I know he knows what he has lol) comes back with this... 849.00 out the door. She gets home, comes in and says "Look what I found stuck to my shoe" I laughed, Shes happy. Now I dont have share mine anymore lol. Dont like the plastic grip at all, Feels like a keltec pmr 30 but heavy. Feels cheap I guess Im saying. So will get rid of the musket screws and the grip. Life is Good.

Nice. Can't go wrong with a P226. Get some hogue checkered G10 grips and you'll be all set.

What is the diff between an MK25 and a normal 226? Is it just the anchor? when it was still all oily in the bag i thought it was a blemish at 1st lol then I realized what it was and looked at box tag. Are they any different internally? Thanks All!

I think it takes different mags than the regular one.

MK25, score!!!

Itís the navy one. 1913 rail instead of the Sig rail. Memory is old but I think itís got the phosphate coated controls to prevent rust from saltwater. Iím sure the MK25 owners on here will fill in the rest.

Mags will be the same...standard P226 mags be they from Sig or Mec Gar.

I think it mainly has to do with the coating....more resilient to water corrosion. But rail is also a more standard 1913 Picatinny.

Pretty good price for a MK25 too. I think that's about what I paid for mine.

The MK25 has phosphate-coated internals and a chrome-lined phosphate-coated barrel in addition to the 1913-spec cheese grater under its chin. I had three of them until my kids went shooting with me. Now he has one, she has one, and I have one.
