365 grip texture: too rough?

I've only had my new 365 for less than a week and I've alternated carrying it with a Glock 26.5. I've gotta say, while the Sig is lighter and rides tight to the body at 3:30 under a light shirt, the texture on the grip really chafes my skin. The G26, on the other hand, rides very comfortably, but it obviously prints more in my opinion.

On my Glock 43s I felt the texture was too smooth (which is kind of funny compared to former handguns that I've owned with almost NO texture) and I applied rubberized Traction Grips with excellent results.

Anyone else feel the grip is hard on bare skin? There is no doubt it would be easy to maintain control of the gun under adverse conditions, but is the comfort factor (lack thereof) worth the aggravation?

I put the rubberized Tallon grips on my P365 and love them. They give me grip without the rough texture.

Against bare skin, it is rough after a while. I try to keep my undershirt tucked in but being a tall guy with a long torso it can be difficult to do so.

I don't mind it. I wear mine in the same place you do and it's against my skin always... and that includes my 38 hour drive from Savannah to Yellowstone... and back! I'm either not as sensitive to it, or I'm used to it.

I put a Hogue over it and gained just enough width to make it feel even better in the hand.

I did the Hogue grip also. It is not hard to put on and it works. I think I would prefer it without the bump.

IMO all pistols with an acceptable level of texturing (i.e., enough to ensure a firm grip during recoil and when your hands are sweaty) are going to be rough on bare skin. They need to be carried with some type of undershirt between the pistol and your skin. That also helps protect the gun from sweat and oils on your body.

Just my measly .02, a very old habit of mine is wearing a tank top underneath whatever shirt Iím wearing to prevent that, and it makes a world of difference. May wanna give that a try.

I put rubber Talons on my 365 also. Actually on all my carry guns.

I tried the Talons for the 12 round mag base plates but they would move from the heat of the summer and sweat especially on my spare mag that rides in a Tulster universal mag carrier.

^^^^^ This is 100% true. ^^^^^

I've been carrying a gun concealed for almost 50 years and have always worn an undershirt between my skin and my gun.

I have the Talon rubber grip on mine, but as others have said, I also wear an undershirt. I do so with any gun I carry.

The Hogue grip and 12 round mag make a prefect combination for me!
