XL grip with short (365) slide

Is it possible to buy or order this configuration in one gun or would I have to purchase both the 365 and the 365 XL and then switch out the slides?

Buy the 365 with the slide assembly you like. Then add an XL grip module. It may require a little trimming but I doubt it. One gun + one grip module.
Almost forgot you will need the 12 rd mags as well. The standard 10 rd won’t fit.

Not aware of the ability to special order one's preferred combination. In my case - I am buying 2. The SAS I have, the XL w/ Romeo is on order. My "ideal" combination is exactly opposite. I want the XL slide on the smaller frame.

What Eyegor said! The grip frames are interchangeable with no trimming necessary.

Just need a punch to remove the fire control unit from the grip and move it to the other grip. I started with a 365ms and added an xl slide.

Buy one and get the rest of the parts that you want.
The 365 Tacpac comes with three 12 round mags and that's what I started with.
Then it was just getting and XL slide, grip mod and 3 mag plates..

Purchase the 365 gun and order a 365 XL grip module and 12 round mags. The new 12 round mags come with the base pads to fit either grip module. No other parts needed and your go to go. This is what I did.

No need for any grip module trimming unless you have a manual safety model. I did have to trim my XL module for the safety, but no big deal, a few minutes with a sharp pocket knife and a small very fine file to clean it up.. You will need the 12 rd magazines or an extended baseplate for your ten rounders.

Tactical development has 10 round fillers to be able to use P365 mags on XL.

https://tactical.dev/products/10-rou...ound-magazines

For those who didn't know this existed. I just put another order in for some filler base plates.

I can assure you they work very well. I only found an opportunity to buy p365 10 round mags versus flat base XL mags in 10 rounds (CA).

So I had to buy the p365 standard or extend pinky mags, then the tactical development base plate fillers then viola. Perfect fit to be honest.

I have 2 flat and 2 flared. Like them very much.

Can easily switch to p365 module if needed then change base plates. A 2-in-1 setup. Especially with the rmr cut slide on the XL. Don't plan to get one yet but great to have the option.
