New P365 with dead front sight. Question

I just picked up my P365 Yesterday (7/31/20). After getting it home I found out in a dark bathroom, that the front sight is dead and not glowing at all.

What is Sig doing to replace or fix these sights. I am hoping they will just send me the sight and let me replace it ?

Don't want to have to send the pistol off to get it fixed. Maybe TG will replace it by sending a new sight if SIg won't ?

If you have experience with this let me know how they dealt with it. Sent them an email last on it.

My guess is they’ll want you to send the slide in and they’ll replace it (the sight). They’ll pay shipping both ways, and it will be about a week from the time you ship it until you get it back - if you avoid holidays.

At least that was my experience with dead front sight on my P365 SAS. Would recommend you call, seems to go better. I’m sure they get hundreds of emails daily, if not more.

Call Sig Customer service today. You will need to send in at least the slide, maybe the entire gun, but Sig will have it back to you in a matter of a few days with a new front sight.

Sorry for the bad luck.
I'm sure Sig will take care of the problem.

Sig Customer Service is not open on Saturday. Plus Monday is the worst day to call.

Happened to me. My front sight was virtually DOA on my 365. Called Sig, they sent me a shipping label, and I returned the slide to them. It was quickly fixed and returned to me. Perfect ever since. Call Sig CS. They will take care of you.

Thanks guy's,
I was hoping that I would not have to send it in. It is my EDC pistol. I have a full size that I could carry but just to bulky. I may just buy the sight for $50 if that is the case. I hope to talk them in to just sending the sight. It would be cheaper on them also.

Anyway, I will call on maybe Tuesday.

Talked to Sig this morning. They did want me to send the slide in and stated they would have it back in a couple weeks. I told them I really did not want to send it in, that it is my carry gun.

They said they would send me a new sight but he could not say how long it would be because they are hard to keep in stock with all the new pistols being built.

I told them that I could wait, it's not likely that in any emergency you would be using them in the first place anyway. He has placed the order for me and I will keep checking in every couple of weeks to keep me on there raidar.

Interesting. What is the difference in the sight that they would put on it, to the one they would send you? I wonder why they want to the slide, versus sending you the sight?

Years ago, I had a dead sight on my 238. Sig gave me the option to send me the sight, or send the slide in. I chose option 1.

Iím guessing because theyíve had episodes of sending folks replacement sights who promptly break them trying to install them and then claim they were defective when they got them. If Sig installs them, they know the issue was corrected and all the customer has to do is reattach the slide which wonít break the sight.

Years ago everybody and their brother/sister didnít fancy themselves an armorer with absolutely no training or experience. Not saying youíre not skilled, but Iíd bet about 1 in 10 who claim it actually do have armorer skills.

I have put several sights on several pistols. Yes you have to be careful when doing Tritium sights not to damage them. But you can't blame SIg Sauer, they will send me the sight when they become available. I just don't understand if they have them to replace why are they not available to send?

Anyway, no hurry. I know the sight will be taken care of one way or another. No emergency.

First rule for installing sights: you must use proper tools. DON'T try to remove or install them without proper sight installing tool. For example, this I used, and it works great: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 but it is not cheap (and it is not the most expensive one either)
