Is the Sig P220 the same size as the P229 except the P220's grips are about a half of an inch longer? Will they fit in the same size holster? Thanks!

I never see both guns listed as using the same holster, the 220 is just slightly taller than the 229 and the 229 is just slightly wider than the 220 and the 229 will have thicker grips due to a double stacked magazine & the 220 is single stacked, They both look pretty close in size but I've never saw a holster listed for both guns..

I use the same holster (Galco) for both a 229 and a couple of 220s ( a full size and a compact)

My P220 fits perfectly in a Black Hawk holster I bought years ago for a P6. According to the description it also works with a P226. The odd thing is that it is an excellent fit for my CW40, which is a much smaller pistol. I don't understand it, but I'm not complaining, because it saved me the price of a new holster.
