Sig P229C exchange kit

So I finally got out to shoot my P229C in 40sw with my 9mm exchange kit. Shot WWB through it, some American eagle and happy to report it worked great. I also added a Legacy trigger from Suarez International. I had to do some filing on the trigger to get it to work, but man the trigger is stupid short on the reset. The first time I shot my 9mm exchange kit I had jamming issues multiple times per magazine. I did like another member here mentioned and just dry cycled, and with live rounds cycled several hundred rounds through the slide. Not sure if that loosened something up but whatever it was it worked today. I also installed a Suarez adjustable trigger on my P229 scorpion and it is awesome. That short reach trigger sucks. Just my 2 cents, that is all!

When did you purchase the 9mm x change kit. When I called they didn't have anymore and no plans to make any.

I got mine when the 229C first hit the market. I think the 9mm 229c's you are seeing out there are those last few slides they had leftover to get rid of whatever they had left. That's probably why they are out of exchange kits.

Buy a 9mm p224 barrel, thkfirst will chime in and that's what he did.

More of a funeral dirge than a chime...

My experience wasn't all that encouraging. I tried a 9mm P224 barrel in my P229C 357 slide and a P229C 9mm CALX kit but couldn't get either to run reliably; frequent FTEjects. SIG couldn't get it to run either and replaced the pistol, the CALX kit and the 40S&W barrel that wouldn't feet reliably.

After firing the pistol, have you seen any evidence of contact between the bottom of the barrel lug and the top of the trigger?

I did at first, but that's one of the parts I had to file down. I basically matched the factory short reach trigger. It would cycle if J pulled the trigger all the way but not if I cycled it where the trigger was released forward in the single action. If that makes sense.
