I don't understand what the big deal is. I've got several of them on the shelf. They are not hard to get.

P30L

Right off the bat, the negative: Yes the trigger does suck compared to my TacOps but I'm willing to give it a shot.

The Good, It feels wonderful in hand.

Blue would be my fishes favorite color if he wasn't color blind.

aWESome!

Welcome to the Darkside brother!!!

Now that you've contracted the HK bug, your're in D-E-E-P trouble.....

The interesting thing is, after about 300rds. the recoil spring is fully broken in, and the trigger takes about 1000 +/- rds. to smooth out a bit.

IMHO, the best thing to do is send it off to Bill Springfield, or Bruce Gray for a trigger job.

Both do EXCELLENT work:

Bill Springfield - http://www.triggerwork.net/usp.html

Bruce Gray - http://grayguns.com/...r-koch-pistols/

Enjoy brother!

I just ordered 2k FMJ bullets just for the process. :0) The two things I've really enjoyed so far is the weight and size. I am glad I went with the 30L, it has a perfect balance in my hand. I can't say that I'm interested in any other HK's but the Mk23 has peaked my interest. Although the thing looks huge. I know the barrel is longer but it it looks thicker than my Glock 20.

Yeah man, my P226 TacOps is quickly climing the ladder, but the P30L is my favorite tack driver of all time!

GREAT ergos, and the balance is second to none.

Mine desperately needs a trigger job, but I still love the thing to death.

The Mk23 is an interesting weapon....

I shot a buddy's AAC supressed Desert Tan Mk23 to see if it was something I'd eventually like to buy, and I have to say, it's probably the sweetest handgun on the planet.

The ONLY downside for me, is it's like holding a 2x4 in your hand. Somewhere in between a G20 and a .50 DE.... Definitely a hand cannon for sure! LOL

If you like .45, might I suggest a HK45 V1 or an HK45 V7 LEM?

I own both, and it's HK's answer to the 1911.

What's funny is I'm growing the other way slightly. I carry my TacOps almost everyday and the size & bulk of it just gets to cumbersome at times even with my crossbreed supertuck. The light weight and slim profile is really appealing to me. As I said in another thread, one of my biggest reservations about buying the HK was, "what if I liked it more than my TacOps?". While It may have been some foreshadowing on my part because of my issues with the Sigs size, the HK is so much more pleasant to carry.

The real problem for me is, I'm not the kind of person that likes to have a bunch of guns in a safe that I don't carry or shoot much. I train with my guns a lot, I plan to take some more pistol classes next spring and I don't know if I should be mixing up platforms. If my schedule works out, I should have 1500 round through the HK in about 2 weeks and I'll start carrying it exclusively. (Truthfully, I've already been carrying it a bit with my back up.)

I have a friend that has probably about 30 handguns sitting in his safe of all varying types, (No HK's or Sigs though, go figure) and I could probably find at least a dozen guns he's never fired. It's a crying shame and it's not like they are special edition collectors, they are Smiths, Glocks & XD's etc. Besides the issue of shelf collecting shooters is stupid, my childhood poor economics kick in and I start to think stuff like, "Hey, I could sell that and pay for this pistol class or this much ammo, or nightsights. ..etc."

I love both guns and they look so good sitting next to each other right now. Each one offers something unique to their platform that I love. I guess I'm manic & rambling on now.

HAHA that IS the opposite of me.

It seems my TacOps is seeing ALOT range time, especially after buying that threaded .22 conversion kit from member here "GoingQuiet".

How do you enjoy carrying the P30L?

I carried it one time, and one time only on Christmas Eve in a Crossbreed Supertuck I have for my HK45 V7.

Man those grip panels are freakin abrasive as hell! Rubbed my freakin side raw!!! LOL

My favorite carry weapon is my P7M8 in a Milt Sparks VMII. VERY thin and compact.

If you ever get the chance to shoot a P7 of any sort, I can promise you it'll be game over from there.

P7's are unique, and unlike ANYTHING you'll ever experience. Their accuracy will make your head spin!

I love carrying it. I always wear a tucked in T-shirt with everything I wear when I have a belt so it doesn't rub at all. (I actually prefer more stippling.)

Here is my first shots with the P30L.

Bummer, Wolvee. You should ask them to check with other distributors. My local gun retailer called distributors for me yesterday, and he received my stainless p220 today. Different wholesale distributors have varying inventories.
