P220 Xray Sights or G10 Grips

Alright now that I have a $50 gift certificate from Sig (MCX issue) burning a hole in my pocket....Would you upgrade the regular SigLite night sights to X-ray sights or put the G10 black/grey grips on your pistol?

You already have night sights. And you already have grips.

I say extra magazines.

Unless you don't already have the short reset trigger. Then I'd go fo that.

Sorry. No real help here.

G10 Grips, all the way. You can use a paint pen to increase the visibility of your front sight.

Wait they have x-ray sights but I have been waiting for 50 years for x-ray glasses I was promised in the ads in the back of my comic books? Just ain't right.

PALongbow, I'd have to agree with ray1970 on the SRT (Short Reset Trigger) as an initial "improvement" if it's not already equipped with it. The G-10s would be a second choice, as long as you already have Siglites, then upgrade the sights.
As ray1970, mentioned more magazines, would always be asset, but one here and there over time will increase your stockpile.

I'd say, the G10. The difference from the stock grips will be night and day. The xrays sights are overrrated, imo, especially when you already have the SIGLITE sights on the gun. Yes, I had the xrays sights installed on one slide, to replace the contrast sights. Wasn't at all impressed with them, as are other folks. SIGLITE sights do just fine for me.

Well if it comes down to the sights or the grips I guess you have to decide which of the 2 you currently have on the gun are in need of replacing first.

I'll go against the grain here and say the x-rays I really like them a lot

I'd go with the grips, the X-ray sights are kind of nice but I only installed the fronts because they are a little more visible, the rears seem to have smaller tritium dots. You'd probably not notice the SRT unless you have other Sigs with it and then just with a side by side.

My P220 SAS Carry already has the SRT installed so we are good there. I may take the plunge and order both he X-ray sights and grips.

Does anyone have a picture of a P220 with the Black Grey G10 PIRANHA grips? Also like the P220 aluminum Dark Elite grips but they are pricey.

Older Model P220 without a rail. Had to "Modernize" for the grips!

Very nice. I think the G10 grips will be ordered today. I may skip on the X-ray sights because it looks like they are not available on the website.

That's what I would do .. it's only money

As I am a racing sailor, I have a quote on my office wall that my wife did a needle-point.

"The only thing money is good for is to make a boat go faster"

I need to revise it and add in "and buy guns or gun stuff!"
