You guys are killing me...

The P225 is probably a top 3 on my Sig wish list. Especially after handling one a week ago.

I was hoping to get one in 2018. It might be sooner now.

As soon as I was informed that Sig was switching to checkmate mags exclusively, for the p225a1, I snagged one and 8 mags. I didn't want to deal with that crapp for a gun I'd been wanting.

I've been using CheckMate mags in my MK25 for years now with no issues. Given they are my range mags but that is my experience. I have 11 P225A1 mags now, might as well get another 9 to make it 20 (yes 20 mags is what I like to keep on hand for each type of mag I use)

I made a few Sig purchases recently. At first I said, "oh it's a birthday present to myself." I just used that card one too many times. Maybe Black Friday.

Spent a little more range time with this gun yesterday, along with my P229SAS 9mm. I went back and forth a few times. My P229SAS is still a favorite but know longer "the favorite". Every time I picked up the 225 after shooting the 229 the 225 just felt better. As far as shoot ability goes, I would say they are equal, accuracy equal, fastest "accurate" follow up shots- pretty much equal with maybe a slight edge to the 229, felt recoil - equal.

Maybe checkmate will get these right. They have been making 1911 mags for a long time and these are a very similar design. Who knows smh.
