I believe they're made by Hogue, but just have the Sig logo.

Those Sig-brandsd grips are also available through CDNN, without the screws, for a 1/4th of the price.

I saw that, but how does one get the screws and more importantly, the steel inserts?

Ipesenson, you may check with Sig, to see if they are available. I remember here a couple of months ago, when CDNN first offered those G-10s, there was some discussion, about using the screws and inserts for a P224.
Optics planet lists them, but shows not in stock and 4-6 week ship date.
UPC for these screws/plates is #798681442119, which if you google the UPC #, it will take you to that listing. I googled the UPC after noticing the early post, #7, here with the package.
That would be Sig's UPC, so they may have them, they were $14.49 retail @ Optics Planet, only has 2 bushings, so you would need to order 2

I understand P227 Parts Kit, contains screws and bushings, would need to call Sig parts.

see thread: p227 grip screw bushings this has more information

The P227 SAS Gen 2 is a finely crafted, smooth operating firearm. I just don't understand why there doesn't seem to be a lot of chatter (love?) for the 227.

A PM to Goneballisticinalabama will get you the info on the screws and backplates. He has ordered them before as have others here.

Does anyone have any pics of a P227 Equinox with non-standard grips? I'm trying to decide what to go with.
