Mec-Gar would have to make a different-capacity mag to sell for the P227. And we already have had enough problems with the 14-rounder.

That's why you don't see Mec-Gar selling 15-round P226 9mm mags. But they sell 18-round and 20-round P226 9mm mags.
And their 18 round flush fit mags are the best you can buy anyway

Mec-Gar has been making mags for SIG for years. Good quality.

I like to see the "Made in Italy" engraving on the mag.

I'm thinking I should buy some of those. I've only bought the mec-gar 15rd phosphated mags.

Mec Gar makes the "good" Sig mags. When buying a new Sig, I always try to get the MecGar ones and often ask the dealer if I can swap out the mags with other Sigs if not MecGar. When buying mags without buying a new Sig, i go straight to MecGar and do not order from Sig, I just buy MecGar ones straight out. For the record, I don't recall having much issue with the Checkmate mags but for some reason always liked the MecGar ones better. As mentioned above, frequently the only markings on the MecGar Sig mags when bought from Sig or with a weapon is "Made in Italy".

Am I missing something here? Did I misread what you wrote? I have bought 15 round P226 9mm mags that are Mec-Gar mags. I'm now confused but that's not difficult to confuse me.

Ok! Thanks for the quick answer.
Do they have the sig logo on them? I'll have to check my mags.

Here are two "made in Italy" Mec-Gar phosphate mags and one "made in USA" checkmate mags. No sig logo on the Italy made mags.

I have some 30 round AR mags that are stamped with that. Made during the Clinton assault weapon ban. I used to have some glock mags with that on them as well.
