I have a fairly new P320 (MA compliant) with the ambi safety. I'm running into a magazine loading issue where the magazine doesn't seat completely sometimes. Typically, at the range I just rack the slide and it's fixed. When I store the gun, I just want the magazine in the gun with no round in the chamber. Sometimes just to insert the magazine, I have to lock the slide back, insert and remove the magazine, then unlock the slide and reinsert the magazine. Anyone else running into this situation?
Until the magazine springs lose a little tension, you may want to download a round. Sometimes when new, they will not hold the stated number of rounds, until they have been left loaded with as many as possible for a couple of days, then you can squeeze the last one or two in. The same holds true of sticking a fully loaded magazine into the weapon with the slide closed.
