Morning all. New sp2022 owner here(40sw).Ordered online with a local FFL transfer. Have to say this gun is one heck of a shooter. Went to the range the day after my new sig arrived and impressive is an understatement. I'm not a total newbe to handguns but am far from a crack shot. With that being said 26 out of 30 shots at 7 yards went into a group that can be covered with a silver dollar. Problem is the group was low and left of the 3" target with the front sight dot covering the target. I ordered a sight adjustment tool to take care of the windage issue but am curious if Sig will change the sights(just send new ones and I'll install) or if I'm going to have to buy the sights? I much prefer a 50/50 sight picture instead of the "combat" sighting for target practice. Currantly there's a #8 rear with a #6 front. Need to shoot a few 25 yard groups to make sure but am thinking a #10 rear with a # 8 front should do it.

Sounds like you have the correct sights on your pistol. You can certainly change them out to get a different point of aim. My guess is, that would be your nickel. Sig may be able to tell you which sight numbers to use, but I doubt they are in the business of changing them out or supplying at no charge for individual sight picture preferences.
Welcome to the forum from Pennsylvania.

Just to be clear the gun shoots roughly 7-8" low at 25 yards and 2.5" low at 7 yards with the three dots lined up and the front dot covering the target. They'll be changed no matter what so might as well get my prefered sight picture in the process.

I too have a SP2022 in 40... It is an incredible gun especially for the price. My gun is pretty much dead on... For 40, #6 front and #8 rear are the correct sights. I purchased a 357 Sig barrel for it. With the 357 Sig, it shoots low - the 357 Sig uses the #8 front and rear sights.
I would recommend trying other brands of ammo before changing the sights...
