I new to ST, from Arizona and Idaho, if thats possible
Just comin' into the site and wanted to say hey to everyone. Like I said, I came to Idaho from Arizona and although I love the new state, I'll be a desert rat 'til the day I die. (Being an old fart I probably shouldn't say that. LOL)
I've got four kids. One is a paralegal, one is a Sheriff's deputy, (daughters) and my son is a 13 year supervisor with the Border Patrol in that area of Arizona which includes the "park" we can't go visit anymore. Number 4 is actually my oldest. We call her Trailer Park Barbie 'cause she is a hard core survivor. Proud of all of them.
I retired as a commander for a state agency in the southwest, and over the years I worked in L.A., Ohio, Arizona in a small department, and for USINS. POST general instructor, firearms trainer, academy instructor, Investigator ......, and a total pain in the butt for three wives that all live in other states now. Thanks to God.
I sold my carry P229 to one of my guys when I pulled the pin (I'm not the brightest bulb in the chandelier) and I'm working my way back to a new 229, hopefully this summer. So......I am not going to be posting myself as an expert, but I DO know some stuff, and in the 48 years I've been hand gunning, I've gone through so many weapons I could buy a really nice, red Viper and have enough money left for the garage to house it.
I will tell ya up front that I'm one of those guys who will sound like he has to be 250 years old to have done the things he talks about as first hand stuff. I've had a busy life, done almost everything that caught my interest, either as employment, hobby, or at the spur of the moment while under the influence of German beer, hormones, or the moronic belief that I was immortal. Truth be told, I'm very lucky to be alive and more or less mobile.
Looking forward to exchanging ideas and information in here, and most of all, learning new things.
