I am a newbie here and a first new Sig owner but no way a first time handgun owner.Ill put in my 2cents for the p250c and a few thoughts to add to the support of the 250.It has been described as an entry level Sig .What does that mean?Is a S&W 686 a entry level handgun? Both are double action or does the 250 have no single action capability therefore it is second best compared to the S&W 686 which has single action capabilities which would by some folks distance it from being classified as a entry level handgun ?
It sounds like a few nasayers are rating the 250 as a red headed step child.
It appears the p250 and a double action revolver has a level of simplicity compared to others that do not while the inability to shoot well with a double action pull is seemingly evident as it becomes easier to become a better shooter with an easier shorter pull with pistols of a different trigger mechanism.
Is the lack of single action capability the only upset in the boat to tip the scales away from the 250.It cannot be firepower for my Sig 250 9mm has 15 rds before refueling.
Is this not an apples and oranges and popcorn moment.

emac - First off, welcome. I was one to describe it as "an entry level SIG", so I'll respond to your concerns. Even an entry level SIG is still a SIG which makes it a quality pistol IMO. I like my 250 a lot. When I bought my first handgun I wanted a design that was simple, reliable, accurate, easy to operate and maintain; the 250 gives me all of that...in a SIG! I got it at a price less than half what I paid for my 229 (SIG #2). With all the other gear I needed as a new shooter (range bag, glasses/hearing protection, cleaning stuff, Safe, lots and lots of ammo/range time...) the 250 price made it all happen within budget. My next move it to convert it to an SC 9mm for my first carry gun when I get my CPL. It got me in the door. I like it a lot and I'm keeping it!

The only thing poor about my poor man's sig is the pricetag!

I plan on owning several sigs in the future and I'll bet they all work just fine.

The 250, 229 and 220 are all on my short list, who knows?

It's all good!

I have the 250 SC and love it. Some complain about the long trigger pull, no problem with me. It's my favorite every day carry. Not that large and 12 + 1 rounds.. I also have a P229 E2 which I also love. A few other I own but am partial to the Sig.

P220 Stainless Elite, It's my duty gun. My Dept issues G22's and only a handful of the guys use P220's. Kinda funny I get "Nice gun, but it only has eight shots, and that thing looks huge" from the younger guys.

The younger guys don't know as much as they think they do.

Any of them. Sig Arms is premier in manufacture of handguns. Don't know much about thier riifles since I am a Remington fan there, but I would bet the rifles are just as fine as thier handguns.
