Eric Vonbosse of SIG Sauer was on the Gun Talk podcast this weekend and he talked a bunch about the P290. Here is a link to the podcast:

http://guntalk.libsyn.com/guntalk-2010-11-14-part-a

And here are the important bits:

- 2" groups at 15 yards

- Ships with one 6 round flush fitting mag, 8 round mag available at later date

- Some will ship with laser, also available separate

- Ready for shipment late Nov / early Dec, guns "in stores well before Christmas holidays"

- $650-$720 MSRP

- Holsters from SIG and third party companies are in the works

- Compatible with most Kahr 9mm pistol holsters

There you have it...

They will only be sold in California only if Sig submits them to the state for approval and they are accepted.

They were supposed to be taking orders in Jan. after the Shot show.

I'm on pins & needles for them to hit it out of the park.

I want a sub-sub compact.

And the word I'm hearing is that in store price is in the $500-550 range.

Very much looking forward to an opportunity to handle one. Anxious to see how its trigger compares to the Kahr PM9.

It's worth noting that the lastest info on the MSRP has them at more of the mid $700 range.

Its officially on Sigs site:

http://www.sigsauer.com/Produc...yid=70&productid=307

And TGS ( TopGun Supply ) has it on their site, noted it'll be a while!

www.topgunsupply.com

these are good people with fast service.

I've bought a number of Sigs from them. $ 19 to ship anywhere in the CUS!

I've heard three different price points all straight from SIG, so we'll just have to wait and see what happens.
