I have the GS 1911 45ACP BSS. Being a Sig lover I do really like this gun. It is full size so carrying concealed does create a bit of a problem. I also have a Kimber Ultra Crimson Carry which is much easier to conceal, short barrel, single stack. It also is a very nice gun. I shoot the Sig at the range alot and really love to shoot it. You can't go wrong with a Sig.

I LOVE Sig, but the C3 I owned was not that great. In all honesty, the Kimber that was the same size (Custom II R/S) that I owned wasn't either.

I do own a full sized Kimber Raptor that is a veritable tack driver. Unbelievably awesome in look and feel. Swapped out the gawdy grips for some VZ Operator II's in Desert Tan/Black and the thing is gorgeous AND reliable!

Honestly, Sig is known more for the P2XX series and though the 1911s are OK, I'd stick with the P2XX when it comes to Sig and go to Springfield, Colt, or Kimber for the 'Around a Grand' price range on 1911s.

I have never bought from Buds online, but I check prices there.
Same with Gunbroker, and Guns America
I have bought from Armslist.com. Great site for used stuff and a few new.
If you want to know about a particular model, run it nationwide and narrow down to say Sig 1911 in 45. I found my Springfield Compact (not a lot made) and couldn't be happier with it. Had to ship across half the country, and it was almost painless. Bought and sold locally several times with no issues at all.

Sig Scorpion 1911

I love my badass Scorpion.

The most accurate gun i have.

Every time I take it to range, folks ask about it and when they shoot it, they love it too...

I got 12 of them. all newer models 2011 and up. I have a mix bag of government , commander and officer models, traditional and Sig standard profile. The only problem a had was a wrong size front sight which SIG fixed for free. I bought my XO for $599 and my fastback carry for $749, compared to other manufactures I think its a heck of a deal.

I just recently acquired a Springfield TRP and the Sig compares very favorably. (the Sig's magwell & grips were added) The performance of each pistol is outstanding. There are several youtube reviews of the Sig 1911 that you may want to watch.

I have a Sig 1911 Stainless Rail in my list of guns. I will have it in February, I hope. Feels amazing, looks fantastic. I'm not a 1911 guy so I can't compare it to SAs or Colt Rail Guns. However, I like to think that I can recognize quality pistols (even if I can't always afford them), and the Sig 1911 is a well-made, great looking and handling piece
