Damn thing tries to load more than one round when you rack the slide back. Not sure if it's related to the magazine or not. I'll bet $ they make changes to the magazine.

Sorry to hear that. Was that a problem on the first round chambered or through the complete mag load? Did you get more than one mag?

It was through the whole magazine. No, just came with one.

This (double feed) happening when you're firing the pistol or manually "racking" rounds through it?

Manually racking rounds. Haven't been able to get to the range to fire it yet.

Using live ammo or snap caps. Reason I ask is I notice my snap caps don't slide as smooth against one another when stripping them off the mag. Think it has to do with the metal finish, specifically the turning marks. I find I have to really let the slide fly to get them to chamber fully.

It's live ammo. I can't now, but I'll post a pic of what it's doing. It will load a round fully and then I can eject the magazine and another round will fall out, or it doesn't load a round fully and the slide is hung partially open..with about an inch or so of the guide rod sticking out.

Yes, I'd expect that with the slide out of battery there would be a portion of the guide rod exposed. Are you saying the slide is open about an inch or so as well?

No, the slide is not open that far, but the round is not loaded completely. I have taken pics, but I'm at the lake now and don't have access to a computer. I'll be back home tomorrow and post them then.

Tried manually racking FMJ rounds and it seems to like them better. The other rounds I tried was Hornady personal defense loads. Seems to be several guns that dont like them. Have a 238 that hates them too...but its also has never been fired. Wonder if running a few hundered FMJ rounds through them first would make a difference?

Is that a 380 or a 9mm? I see the 9 PARA so it's 9mm then? Did the slide ever go to battery? If not I'd check the chamber. Field strip the gun, take the barrel out and drop a round in it. Tell us the result.

Forgive me, but I'm not sure I completely understand what you're wanting me to do.

I think what he is asking for you to do is to remove the barrel and take a bullet and see if it goes all the way in to the chamber. Basically see if there is any obstruction in the chamber to keep the bullet from fully inserting into the chamber.
