My Blackwood is exactly like the one on the website except for the color tone of the wood grips.

The texture and design of the grips is exactly the same, but the grips are stained a darkish grey with black grain running vertically through them.

have read all previous posts with much interest as I purchased a 938 as a Christmas gift to myself

have attempted to shoot on 3 range visits - I'm having FTE problems with each mag and it's getting very frustrating as I'm unable to get used to and enjoy the gun because of the problem - this is not a range weapon and any problem is unacceptable

I'll follow all the suggestions that have been made in these 6 pages with hopes that the FTE issue disappears

so far I've been shooting Win 115 gr FMJ - we're headed to the range today and I'll switch to a box of S&B 115 gr FMJ that I have - if those FTE I'll buy a box of 124 gr and see if that helps

also taking down, cleaning and reassembling before going

will give a report here on results

also, agree that the mags (I've got 2) are a b**** to load ! 1st thing after seeing that was to buy an UpLULA loader (2nd thing was to allow my fingers and thumb to heal)

I would suggest trying the 124gr for a box or two. I would also lube the heck out of it. I've had good luck with the Sig recommended grease. You should have gotten a sample with the gun. (Can't remember the name right now, sorry.) I started using it about a year ago when I was having a few issues with a 226 I bought. problems went away and I've had no issues with the 938.

cleaned and reassembled my 938 and took it to the range this afternoon - gotta say that I didn't have the issues of FTE with every mag, as before.....it did however leave the last piece of brass from each clip after firing all rounds (simple, if remembered, just point the barrel up and shake the gun - falls right out - but, that shouldn't be happening !)

I did not fire any 124 gr today - all 110 gr

I see there's another thread ( P838 Back to Sig ) here - lots of other folks having problems

man I love this gun - will keep an eye on it but will also "send back" if my issues continue

Whisky,

I have heard from several sources that Sig recommends using a 124gr. bullet weight. This is all that I have used and have had ZERO failures. I would try this weight first and if you still have problems, I would def. send back to Sig.

I hope this solves your problems.

All the micro guns run better on124 grain. Different force on the slide.
Break in is about 300 rounds and the 938 smooths out much. keep your mags loaded awhile. The mags will be easier to load and will feed better as the springs get set.
The lube is TW25B as supplied by Sig. It is a real light synthetic grease. I use it on all mine, except the 229 is looser and needs slide glide to firm it up.
It will probably work out ok for you, but if needed, rest assured Sig will get it running right.

I have the P938 Nightmare and have shot everything from Corbon 90grn +p on up with no issues. I did start using a good gun greese to help the slide which helps a lot. If your gun is not pulling the spent round out you have a bad exstractor and Sig needs to replace it. This issue was occurring in the first run of guns so they know about it. Good luck they will make it right.

can't find any 124gr ammo to see how they work (in my new 938 with it's FTE problems) but I'll keep looking - will then report the results
