P290 worries

I've been carrying my P290 since last August and keep reading about others' problems with the little model. All these negative experiences are starting to make me worry! I have a serial number a little after 1000 made in April 2011, so I have the same batch as a lot of the bad ones. Maybe to commemorate its year mark I'll give a good range report.

I'll shoot in a couple of weeks (~May 16th) and give a detailed write-up on how it goes after 200 rounds. So far I've put about 600 rounds of various FMJ and JHP through it without any problems.

If it's been working well for you, don't see why it wouldn't keep working well. If you are carrying for SD, a regular workout would seem prudent though.

I agree. There are good one and bad ones of almost everything. If you got a good one, and you have fired many rounds through it without issue I say keep carrying it.

Said it before on here, had one of the March 2011 P290's with FTF or falling to half cock position. Sig took care of it and I can truely say its one of my favorite guns. Mainly because its so accurate and easy to aim. And like the gent said before if its treating you good then be happy with it. Alot of times you only hear the bad on a gun forum so its alittle missleading. Lots out there with a perfectly working P290, I've read the guys on this forum having 600 flawless rounds cycled through the gun.
