In 24 hours...

I will take possession of my new 2022 (PRK 10 day wait law...).

Feel like a kid waiting for Santa...

Anyway, just had to share... going out of my mind right now...

I ordered extra mags (found them for about $30 so I ordered a few... okay, 5 ).

Looking for a good bedside safe to pick up between now and then - it's like I'm building a nursery for newborn...

Extra mags (bottles?)
Ammo (formula?)
Safe (crib?)

Check into the Speed Vault 500. It's available in key pad or biometric (finger print scanner), the latter being a bit pricy. Got one bolted to the wall between night stand and bed. Trip the lock and the drawer swings out presenting the pistol grip first. Very effective.

Crib is installed... ended up getting the GunVault MultiVault Deluxe. I liked the bigger space to store the gun and a couple magazines. May have room for a second gun if I leave the shelf in place, too. I don't much like the loop on the lid that can catch on the gun, but I just have to practice.

I'm from California... a 10 day waiting period is a cake walk. Our waiting period use to be 15 days in the old days... When it was 15 days, it seemed like that 15th day would never come.

I'm FROM Michigan... now IN California... and the 10-day cooling off blows.

Tomorrow the wait is over... can't come soon enough.

I agree, the 10 day waiting period blows... The 10 day waiting period is way better than our old 15 day waiting period. I believe California should use the insta-check like some of the gun friendly states use, so that we can take our purchase home almost immediately.

I understand (maybe incorrectly) that the waiting period is a "cooling off" period. It's meant to deter folks from buying a gun when they're angry (or depressed or drunk or stoned or whatever). The background check happens quickly - I don't believe for a minute this has anything to with waiting for clearance.

Judging from some of the comments above, the "cooling off period" is having an opposite effect. Typical of regulations?

I'm in Fullerton. Lots of Detroiters out here. My wife is from your side of the state, I came from the better side

Just got the 2022 home and in her crib... might have to take her out for a walk in a bit

Enjoy your "walk", Michigan is a great place to be FROM! BTW, I'm from the east side(gratiot & 7 mile). Fullerton eh, your right next door. A lot of Wayne county people relocated to Orange county in the 60's, it were growing then and had jobs to offer. Times have changed here too.

In California, we have more than our share of anti-gun laws. If you think about it, most if not all anti-gun laws hurt only the honest, law abiding gun owners regardless of where you live. These anti-gunners don't seem to understand that criminals do not buy their firearms legally.

Laws keep honest people honest, that's all.
