My first Sig was going to be a Sig Pro 2009 (2022's were on the web site but too new to be found anywhere) until I put my paws on the 229, the rest is history.

The thought still enters my mind from time to time.

Yes, it is an extended slide stop. It is easier to reach but I think I would lean toward something about half way between a standard one and the one pictiuerd below if I were to have another one built,
