Another new guy here with another new Sig.

Just brought home my new 226 Tac Ops yesterday and I have to say, it is the best feeling pistol I have ever held in my hands! Very nicely balanced and excellent design and construction all around. I've heard that Sigs built in Exeter are not as well made as there German counterparts. Not true, at least where I stand. I have also a 2022 built in Exeter and the build quality on that is sharp, considering it is one of the less expensive polymers around. Anyway, thanks for having me here, look forward to contributing.

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your purchase. Very nice choice! And yours came in the plastic case - even better.

I've seen a few videos where reviewers have nothing but praise for there new $1000+ Sig other than that it came in a tattered cardboard box. For me the box/case was less imporatant, I typically get new Pelican or Starlight cases for my pistols anyway. Having 4 mags sold me. That's $260 worth of mags by Sig standards!

And that's REAL value! I'd take it in a brown paper bag.

Agreed! Just curious, can you tell what brand mags the Toc Ops shipped with? Just wondering if they are shipping with Check-Mates also.

All mine say on them are "Sig Sauer 226 9mm" and "Made In The USA", no other branding from what I can tell. I though they were standard high capacity mags with the extender plates, no?
