Couldn't Wait... It is home

Well, Here it is field stripped for initial cleaning.

So question, Should I stay away from solvents with the stainless. I read the manual and it states"lubricate the cleaning brush with gun oil..."

Hopefully this week I can make a trip to the range for the first rounds.

OHHHH YAHHHHH!!!!

Very nice, indeed! Being all stainless, how was it to clean?

I have got to get me a stainless SIG something!

For external cleaning probably would only require a wipe down with CLP and then wipe off the excess or a Silicone cloth.. As for the internals I would probably clean and lube as any other Sig. I could be wrong but it sounds logical to me.

I really like the wood grips on the stainless frame. Gives it a nice touch.

I've used solvents like Hoppes on the inside of the slide and rails on my stainless P229 and had no issues. Then just a quick wipe down on the outside with oil.

mmm pretty.. if you want to have a "tragic boating accident" and drop it in the pond behind my house, be my guest.
I miss not having a rail on my early 229.
