Yeah, my magazines had the same semi tacky coating that the pistol did straight out of the plastic. I cleaned them inside and out just like the pistol before the first shot. I did 400 rounds today with no magazine malfunctions what-so-ever. The only malfunction of any kind I had was riding the slide release with my thumb causing the slide to fail to lock back on empty a couple times, but that is as they say "operator error"
The only thing I noticed about the checkmate mags is that the springs seem a little light, I may try and find a replacement spring set. Then again, if it ain't broke...
