SP2022 is reliable if your sister is holding the gun correct

At the range, I had a Failure to Feed, I noticed that the feed ramp was heavily scratched so I polished it. 150 rds went through it no problem.

BUT, while shooting those 150 rds. I noticed at one point. I was shooting and it went straight into double action mode without decocking.

WHATS GOING ON???
This also happened once when I was just playing around with the gun.

If it went to double action mode, you're either limp-wristing the gun or have weak ammo because the slide isn't being forced back completely or with enough force.

I would first check your grip, especially if you are new to shooting. Holding the pistol lightly could cause failure to feeds. Next look at your hand positions to make sure that you aren't accidentally activating the decocker.

Great point by Yeti. You could be doing exactly that.

Thanks guys, It was actually my sister who had these problems. I don't know if shes limp wristing it. I told her not to hold the gun too tight that it shakes but I told her not to hold it too loose either... O well I personally never had problems.

I would make sure that it was limp wristing and not something mechanically wrong with the pistol. You should fire 100 rounds or more of practice ammo. If there is something mechanically wrong, I would think that you should have failure within those 100 rounds.

I would suggest you go back and edit the topic of the post to reflect sister failure instead of what it says now. LOL! That way it doesn't reflect poorly on a terrific gun!

Post a few stories? I'd rather not. Don't want it to become a Glock flame war.

Now I'm getting aggitated. You don't want it to be a Glock flame war but you still haven't changed the topic title.

Your first post said you had all these problems and when it became evident that your method of holding the gun was the problem you said you never had a problem but that you sister had all the problems.

I have suggested 3 times now that you change the topic title and you seem to be ignoring me.

So now every time someone does a google search on sp2022 and failures they will get the first post in this topic and see something bad about the gun that is really just a completely false claim.

So, would you please edit the topic name now?
