Looks like a very nice pistola! Prior to slapping down $1600+ on this pistol, I would want to see a picture of the end of the box showing the serial number and model information. I find it odd that photo is not included in this listing, it would eliminate any doubts, mine included, that the gun is as claimed.
If anyone is interested.
Rec'd reply from GB seller.
Marked W German, 3 matching S/N
Included pic of end of box: Is marked Nickle
Will contact me tomorrow with the date code under chin.
MY, my. I was surprised. He actually replied an hour ago, I missed the email signal.
That would be the 1st shiny nickel Sig I have seen.
My 229 is satin nickel a bit on the golden tan flavor.
My 95 nickel slide 220 looked similar to stainless. Little more flat in appearance.
I like seeing his 1600.00
I was told by someone that knows that my 229 is worth 1200 to 1600.00.
I would love to think so and this is my first indication.
Looks like 1600.00 is the absolute top though.
1. W. Germany
2. Yes, 3 matching SN’s. Its all German.
3. I’ll check the date code & get back to you when I’m in the office.
4. Pic of side of box attached
We always “spray paint” SN’s on listings. If it winds up being yours, your SN isent out there forever for somebody to use on a fraudulent insurance claim.
Thanks for your interest.

HI. Interested in this Sig P220 Factory Nickel German listing. 1). Does it say on the Frame and Slide: GERMAN or W GERMAN? 2). Is it 3 matching serial numbered: Frame, Slide and Barrel (hood) ? 3). What is the 2 letter date code under the barrel chin? and 4). Picture of the box end showing the label with NICKEL. 5). On the pictures of the Test Target, on listing, is the serial number just blanked out, or is there an issue with the Test Target its self? If easier, you can email me pictures of these areas. Sorry to bother you with so many questions, but these are important as the the particular item. Thank you very much for your listing and time! Best Wishes.
I've reviewed the seller's feedback. 104 reviews, and all but one of them pretty glowing. Thanks to that and the photos that Duchess asked for, I'm satisfied that the pistol is the real McCoy.
Someone will probably buy this for the asking price eventually. Crazy things happen on GB all the time.
Have to agree with you Bearone2. Anyone have dealt with before, has always provided full pics upon request.
Added: Also thought a little strange had a pic of the box, but had to wait until back to office to get the date codes off chin. ????? have box at home and not the sig. Sounded strange too.
I was doing some googling and found some similar models.
But I found this closed listing on GunAuction from 2012 also from Pa. Just for reference.
Could even be the exact same gun.
I find his quote a bit disturbing "not a stainless mut of dubious build and finish quality assembled in Exeter NH." I have a couple nickel P226's. but I also love my "Stainless Elite P226 "mut". To me that is a "turn off" insulting the Sig Sauer product in general. Sure some like the Germans ones more, but then there are the scores of others who like each equally. He wont get fans to be interested by insulting Sigs in general as IMHO many Sig lovers started out on the Exeter models and gradually developed a "taste" for the German ones.
Looks like the same box in both for sale threads to me. Both boxes have the same white mark under the word Sauer between the S and A. There is also a distictive white diagonal mark/line in the upper right corner.
