I coveted my Sister's Gun

Last Feb I got my sister into shooting, so, like a good baby sister, I took her to a local gun shop to help her choose one. She really liked the P229 .40 with ergo grip & night sights. I went back it MI before it came in. I knew it would be an "issue" with me. (Have a .40 Beretta Px4 SC.)

Well, earlier this month my gun club hosted a WOT. We all had a blast. Next day, I took her out again to try her new Sig. Such a nice little thump. I was sad to see them both go home the next day...

Few weeks ago, on a whim, I emailed my favourite gun shop...they had a Equinox in! So...I put a deposit on a layaway, and got busy selling off some of my toys...(this coming from a person who bought her first gun in Jan '12 saying, why would you need more than 1 gun...)

So...yes, I coveted my sister's 229, and now I have one riding on my hip everyday. What a great gun!

Thank you. Shoots differently than my Beretta, but I'm enjoying the softer thump she makes. I am wondering if the grip is a tad too fat for my hands, and looking at some hogue options. But I love the way it looks, and just need to get a few more boxes thru her before I decide.

It may very well replace my beretta as my CC gun, despite my 5'4, 110 stature. She hides very well @3:30 in a Garrett Silent Thunder Fusion.

Very nice! A Sig P229 was what got me to start a small collection, too.

Interesting. I bought the Equinox last week. And just this week I bought a Tac Ops. The Equinox could be a "gateway gun"?

Sweet Equinox! I was gonna get the 226 but they only listed it in 40 cal. I was looking for a 9mm at the time since I was already shooting a 45! might just have to suck it up and add a 40 cal to the stable!

Yea, the word is that Sig messed up and made some 9mm, and they went ahead and finished them anyway instead of destroying them.

I have (will probably sell soon) a HK 9mm, so I wanted to upgrade from that. Hence the .40.

The 9mm Tac Ops was just like, once you see it.... how can you say no?
